Since Nosh was created so close to Christmas, it is inevitable that the posts leading up to December 25 be filled with culinary yuletide cheer. As such, I shall kick things off with a Christmas special, courtesy of Carousel, Royal Plaza on Scotts' award-winning restaurant.
Royal Plaza on Scotts' Christmas theme this year is Silver & Spice & Everything Nice and, as its name suggests, promises lots of mesmerizing Christmas wonder. Here's a little preview:
Dazzling, isn't it? Needless to say, a Christmas menu is also in the works and here is what one can expect at Carousel this year (click on thumbnails to enlarge):
A highlight of the Christmas menu is its three types of turkey (S$92 each): the traditional roasted Christmas turkey, Jamaican jerk turkey and tandoori roasted turkey. Personally, I am quite interested in the tandoori roasted turkey - garnished with tomato basmati rice, cucumber raita with mango chutney, char-grilled bell peppers and vegetables korma, it certainly sounds like a delicious twist to the traditional Christmas turkey.
Besides, when it looks this good, who can resist?

Cheesy Choc, made with chocolate mousse (using the Tanariva and Tropilia varieties of chocolate from Valrhona), baked cheese, oatmeal streusel and almond dacquoise. I might be biased because I love chocolate so much but hey, it looks great and you can indulge your inner chocoholic at just S$6.50 a slice (S$45 for a whole cake).
